Security systems work on the principle of securing entry points such as doors and windows while at the same time securing interior spaces that contain valuables. The size of the home does not matter as much as long as the security systems are in order. The home’s security systems is monitored its working using a control panel. Through using a system of inter working components and devices means or method of securing is known as security systems. Thieves and intruders are kept at bay by using home security systems which are networks of integrated electronic devices that work together with a central control panel.
A yard sign, window stickers, a high decibel siren, control panel, door and window sensors, wired security cameras and motion sensors are the items included in home security systems. A control panel is the primary controller in home security systems as it is the computer that either alerts or disarms security systems. Each installed component within the home security systems is communicated by the control panel in order to sound the alarm upon a security breach.
A control panel contains a touch pad for the purposes of easy programming and interaction whereby pass codes are entered to arm or disarm the system. Not only do touch pads in control panels enhance arming or disarming of the system but also works on voice command and can be programmed to work with wireless remote controls known as key fobs.
Another security system component is the motion sensors which gives protection to a space by creating an invisible zone. The invisible zone when breached sounds an alarm as quickly as possible and motion sensors are used to protect rooms that contain valuables such as money, art and guns. Door and window sensors are the other home security system which contains two parts that are installed adjacent to each other. The first part of installation of the door or window sensor is at the door or window while the other is installed on the window sill or door frame. So as to form a security circuit the door or window is closed whereby the two parts of the sensor are joined together.
Upon arming of the security system at the control panel the sensors communicate with it by reporting that the point of entry is secure. The security circuit is broken when the door or window is opened suddenly and the control panel interprets or views this a security breach and an alarm goes on.
The alarm monitoring company is notified when the high decibel alarm is sounded. The loudness of the high decibel alarms need to scare away the thieves and also alert neighbors. Surveillance cameras should be accessed remotely and be available in both wired and wireless configurations.
